How Kids Club Started

Some twenty years ago, Kids Clubs started under the oversight of Santa Clara County Youth For Christ (SCCYFC) for the benefit of parents who wanted a Bible club their kids could attend after school. These clubs were parent-led and tended to stop when the leader’s kids graduated.
In 2003, King Anderson, co-founder of Church Resource Network - now Compassion Bridges, partnered with SCCYFC to start Church Sponsored Kids Club. That year, 7 partnerships were established between churches and local elementary schools with nearly 500 kids attending and 100 volunteers from local churches mentoring the kids. We knew God was doing a new thing!
Currently, there are kids clubs throughout Santa Clara County with new clubs starting in Alameda and San Mateo Counties. Two other ministries, Youth For Christ and Kids Club Consultants, are also working with churches to start new Kids Clubs.
