This past summer we partnered with WestGate Church in San Jose to host a SAM Camp for kids from Anderson Elementary School. We had a chance to closely work with and encourage over 100 kids and jr high/high school/college leaders. The video below will give you a better idea of what it is all about!
SAM Camp is a week-long summer program provided by the Christian community, mainly high school and college students, to serve elementary aged children and their families. SAM Camp is a combination of fun large group skits, wild science experiments, creative art projects, math & problem-solving, one-on-one reading, and interactive sports. Kids discover a love for learning, connect and bond with their small group leaders, find out how much Jesus loves them, and have an experience they'll never forget.
SAM Camp is another example of how Compassion Bridges seeks to bring the transforming message of the gospel to kids in public schools, and particularly the disadvantaged.
